This project is placed on Materials and Energy Research Center placed in Karaj. In this project I and my team rebuild the core of network as a data center. This phase of project was completed at March 2007.

Initial Conditions

• There wasn't any documentation or order to undrestanding the network structure.
• There wasn't any passive design and plan.
• The network was completely flat.
• The network was injured by viruses and worms.
• There can be a lot of security holes.
• Because of passive disordering any policy wasn't possible.
• Because of this condition in best state the network could use 50% of bandwidth.
• Because of passive disordering any policy wasn't possible.
• Not enough workspace or for future developments.

Administrative Procedure

In this phase at first we redesigned network structure and remounted all of devices with a scalable standard and order. It next month, we adjusted the colling service, cleaning service, etc.

Results

• Improvement and Documentation of Network's resources
• Doing essential services and saving resource from damagement
• Building server zone as a physical place
• Using high-quality devices in most priority rules
• Modification of network topology and omitting network loops
• Ability of using all of uplink bandwidth
• Making network scalable
